A SEPA Credit Transfer is a common and reliable way to send money around the Eurozone. It's executed within one business day and is very common within the EU!
Instant SEPA Transfer
Instant SEPA transfers are executed in seconds and are perfect for your daily financial operations in euros. You can send and receive Instant SEPA transfers in seconds if the beneficiary/payer also uses the Instant SEPA transfers feature.

What is a SEPA transfer?
Single euro payments area (SEPA) transfers are cross-border payments in euros made within the eurozone. Genome currently offers SEPA Credit Transfers and Instant SEPA payments. There are currently 36 countries in the SEPA zone, so Genome users can send and receive SEPA payments from them.
How to make a SEPA transfer?
You will need this information to make a SEPA bank transfer: Name of a person (beneficiary) you are making a transfer to; The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) of a person, which consists of 34 digits; The person’s Bank Identifier Code (BIC) — is a number-letter combination, which consists of 8 to 11 characters;
How to select a SEPA Instant Transfer or regular SEPA Credit Transfer?
You can switch between instant and regular SEPA payments when sending a transfer inside Genome. To do so, go to the Transfers section on Genome's dashboard and select the Bank transfer option. Make sure that you're sending funds from your Genome account in euros. Fill out the beneficiary's details and proceed to the next screen. Enter the amount and select the transfer method underneath it: Instant bank transfer or Regular bank transfer.
Are SEPA transfers secure?
Yes, SEPA bank transfers are secure as they adhere to strict European banking regulations and standards. These transfers are protected by advanced encryption and fraud detection systems, ensuring the safety of transactions.

How do I manage my SEPA transfers?
You can easily manage your SEPA transfers using Genome’s app or web platform. Instruct and schedule your transfers online, track payments, and get detailed reports! Just open Genome’s Transfers tab and send out a payment in euros.
How long does a SEPA transfer take?
A SEPA Credit transfer usually takes from 4 hours to 1 to 2 business days. Within Genome, a SEPA Credit Transfer is usually completed within a business day. An Instant SEPA transfer is completed within seconds.
Are SEPA payments the same-day?
If the receiver's bank is already part of the SEPA Instant scheme, payments arrive within seconds. If not, the SEPA Credit Transfer is used, and its cut-off times apply.
