A batch transfer is a method of processing multiple payments together as a group rather than individually. This approach is commonly used by businesses to efficiently send payments in bulk to different countries and clients/partners. Genome's batch transfer feature allows you to send up to 3000 batch payments at once and has additional useful features.
Sending huge sums of money from your bank accounts to different people and accounts is easy if you have access to batch transfers, which allow you to manage all the payments efficiently. Using Genome, you can make these batch payments via SEPA Credit and Instant Transfers, as well as Genome’s internal transfers. All you need is to start a business account within our electronic money institution. The onboarding is quick and takes place online.
Some banks and payment service providers might have limitations as to how much funds can be sent via batches in the batch transfer. Genome has no limits when it comes to these transfers, just make sure you have enough funds in your dedicated IBAN business account. Using our batch transfer feature, you can send up to 3000 payments at once!
Within Genome, the number and sum of batch transfers do not influence the time it takes to complete them, as all transfers are completely processed. If the batch payments are made via the SEPA Credit Transfers, it takes up to 4 hours or the next business day to complete these, depending on the time they are made. You should also take into account weekends and holidays. If the payment was made using SEPA Instant Transfers, it would reach the beneficiary's balance within seconds.
Banks and payment service providers generally have different exchange rates for money transfers, and you can find the best one by comparing them.
Automation of incoming and outgoing payments, including specifying the recipient account, can be efficiently handled using the Genome API, which provides businesses with tools to streamline financial transactions.
Batch transfers and wave transfers are quite similar, as they both deal with processing a large number of payments simultaneously. The main difference is that batch payments are usually processed at once during a scheduled time. The wave transfer process works in waves, taking a smaller number of payments to process, but doing so will result in quicker operations.
