Site Reliability Engineer

Genome is everything users need from the traditional banks, but safer, faster and completely online.

We are a Lithuanian-based Electronic Money Institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania.

Genome is a B2B/B2C EU-oriented company, which offers personal, business, and merchant account opening, payment processing, money exchange, internal, SEPA, and SWIFT transfers, as well as other banking operations completely online. Clients can manage all their funds and accounts within our smart dashboard, which is in a desktop version, or through an app on Android and iOS.

Genome is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) !

1. System Reliability & Monitoring

• Ensure systems and services are highly available, reliable, and performant.
• Monitor and analyze system behaviors, proactively addressing potential issues before they lead to outages.

2. Automation & Tooling

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks to streamline deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
• Create scripts, dashboards, and automated remediation tools to enhance operational efficiency.

3. Incident Response & Postmortems

• Participate in on-call rotations to quickly respond to and resolve incidents.
• Conduct thorough post-incident analysis to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

4. Capacity Planning & Scaling

• Collaborate with teams to forecast resource needs and scale systems accordingly.
• Monitor resource utilization and plan for future growth and optimizations.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to ensure system reliability from design to deployment.
• Define and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and share best practices across teams.

6. Risk Mitigation & Disaster Recovery

• Identify potential risks to system reliability and develop mitigation strategies.
• Plan and test disaster recovery processes to minimize downtime during failures.

• Experience 1+ years in an SRE, DevOps, or related role.
• Monitoring & Logging:

  • Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).

  • Proficiency with Grafana Stack, including - Grafana for visualization and monitoring, Prometheus for metrics collection and alerting, Loki for log aggregation and querying,Tempo for distributed tracing.

  • Experience with Zabbix, Prometheus, and InfluxDB for monitoring and alerting.

• Issue Tracking & Incident Management: hands-on experience with Jira.
• Background in Java or Go-lang is a plus.
